Jack in a Box Moving LLC ("Jack in a Box Moving," "we," "us," or "our") is a moving company based in Castle Rock, Colorado. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit www.jackinaboxmoving.com (the "Site"), book a move, or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or our services, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, book online, request a quote, or talk to us by phone, text, or email, we may collect:

Your name, email address, and phone number
Pickup and delivery addresses, move date, and details about your home (size, stairs, elevators, parking, and access)
Information about the items being moved, including photos or inventory lists you send us
Messages, notes, and special instructions you provide
Booking and payment details (see "Payments" below)
For our Assisted Moving Support (Income-Qualified) service: the household and income information needed to confirm eligibility

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site and our website platform (Wix) automatically collect certain technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Information from others. We may receive information about you from someone who books a move on your behalf, a referral partner, or review sites where you choose to leave feedback about us.

2. Payments

Online payments are handled by our website platform and its third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems. Payment processors handle your card information under their own privacy policies and security standards.

To provide quotes, schedule and perform your move, and deliver the services you request
To prepare your written Contract for Service and Consumer Advisement, as required by Colorado law
To communicate with you about your booking, including confirmations, reminders, arrival updates, and follow-up
To process payments and handle claims, disputes, or refunds
To determine eligibility for Assisted Moving Support
To respond to your questions and requests
To improve our Site, services, and customer experience
To send occasional offers or updates, if you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time)
To comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations, including those of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC), and to protect our rights

4. Text Messages and Calls

If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your inquiry or booking. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing texts will not stop messages needed to complete a move you have booked. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Our crew: The movers assigned to your job receive the details they need to complete it.
Service providers: Companies that help us run our business, such as our website and booking platform, payment processors, email and text-messaging providers, scheduling and customer-management software, and accounting tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and regulatory: When required by law, subpoena, or court order; to the Colorado PUC upon request; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, crew, or company.
Insurance and claims: With insurers or adjusters when needed to handle a damage claim.
Business transfers: If our business is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
With your permission: In any other case where you ask us to or agree to it.

6. Cookies and Analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including those set by Wix and any analytics or advertising tools we use, to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and measure our marketing. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site (such as online booking) may not work properly without them.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Colorado law requires movers to keep signed customer records, such as the Consumer Advisement, for at least three (3) years, so we keep move records for at least that long. Information used for Assisted Moving Support eligibility is kept only as long as needed to verify eligibility and maintain the related job records.

8. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Access, correction, and deletion: You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We may keep information we are legally required to retain.
Marketing: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in the email, reply STOP to texts, or contact us.
Colorado residents: Colorado residents may have additional rights under the Colorado Privacy Act where that law applies to us. We will honor reasonable requests to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
